Getting Started with bVildR
Your journey to high-performance 3D visualisation starts here. Follow these steps to transform your CAD models and 3D scans into interactive, immersive experiences.
Account & Download
Create Account & Login
Visit the bVildR sign up page to create your free account. Once registered, log in to access your personal dashboard where you can download the installer, create pro or apex licenses, contact support, and more.
Download Software
From your dashboard, navigate to the Downloads section. Select the version that matches your license tier (bVildR, or Apex). The download will begin automatically.
Sample Data (Optional)
If you dont have your own 3D data yet, download our sample assets to explore bVildRs capabilities. We provide CAD models, and 3D scans to help you get familiar with our platform.
Installing bVildR
The installation process is straightforward and takes only a few minutes. Follow these steps to get up and running on your Windows system.
System Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- 8GB RAM
- NVIDIA GTX 1060 or equivalent
- 10GB available storage
- Intel i5 or equivalent
Recommended:
- Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- 16GB+ RAM
- NVIDIA RTX 2060 or better
- SSD with 20GB+ available
- Intel i7/AMD Ryzen 7 or better
Installation Steps
- Locate the downloaded installer file (bVildR_X.X.X.exe) in your downloads folder.
- Right-click the installer and select *Run as administrator* for the best installation experience.
- If prompted by Windows security, click *Yes* to allow the installer to make changes.
- Follow the on-screen instructions in the installation wizard.
- Choose your installation location or accept the default.
- Select whether to create a desktop shortcut (recommended).
- Click *Install* to begin the installation process.
- Once complete, click *Finish* to exit the installer.
First Launch
After installation, launch bVildR by double-clicking the desktop shortcut or finding it in your Start menu. On first launch:
- Free User - Click the Continue to bVildR Free button
- Pro and Apex Users - Copy the Device ID code generated in the Licence Activation Panel
- In your web browser, navigate to the Licence section of the bVildR dashboard
- Click on *Create New Licence Key* and paste the Device ID code from bVildR and click *Create*
- Paste the generated Licence key into the bVildR License Activation Panel of the software and click *Activate*
- Your license will be automatically validated (Professional and Apex tiers).
- Once complete, you will be taken to the bVildR Title Screen.
- Accept the end-user license agreement.
- Select the New Review tile, add a Name, Description and Security Marking if needed. Click *Create*
Import Your Data
bVildR supports a wide range of 3D file formats. Simply click the + button in the sidebar to begin. Free users can import models in FBX, OBJ, GLTF2, STL, PLY and 3MF formats. Pro and Apex users have access to our library of native CAD importers.
CAD Models
Support for CAD formats including STEP, IGES, OBJ, FBX, Catia, Solidworks, CREO, Inventor and many more.
Point Clouds*
Process large point cloud datasets from LiDAR sensors. *Coming Soon
3D Scans
Import photogrammetry and other 3D scan data in standard CAD format
Explore & Interact
Navigate your 3D environment with intuitive controls. Use walk mode for immersive navigation, Measurment tool to measure distances, and interact with your models using our streamlined interface.
Desktop Mode
Powerful visualisation on standard desktop computers with mouse and keyboard controls
